PhD Programme in Philosophy
The Universidad Diego Portales offers full scholarships for doctorate students, which include a monthly stipend of $766,000 for the entire four-year duration of the program and zero tuition fees.
To qualify for the UDP scholarship, applicants must be accepted into the doctorate program. The scholarships are awarded to students who rank in the top two positions in the admission merit list.
Doctoral candidates are also required to apply for the ANID scholarship, and to support them in the application process, the General Directorate of Research and Doctorates conducts an annual workshop with students accepted in the UDP doctoral programs. During this workshop, the application guidelines and general criteria to be considered while completing the required documentation are reviewed.
The international internship grant supplement is an additional benefit provided in addition to the UDP or ANID scholarship. This benefit is awarded once the student applies for the ANID internship supplement.
The General Directorate of Research and Doctorates provides the difference between the ANID’s maintenance allowance abroad and the scholarship the student is already receiving. It is granted for the duration of the internship.
(Español) Once the doctoral thesis project is approved, students of the doctorate programs at Universidad Diego Portales are appointed as research assistants of the faculty where the doctorate is housed.
This status allows them to access all the benefits defined for this category within the University, including access to the Stimulus Fund for Publications in Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus, receiving 50% of the incentive according to the requirements indicated in the UDP Knowledge Production Policy.
Una vez aprobado el proyecto de tesis doctoral, los y las estudiantes de los programas de Doctorado de la Universidad Diego Portales son nombrados como Investigador/a Adjunto/a de la Facultad en que está alojado el Doctorado.
Esta condición le permitirá acceder a todos los beneficios definidos para dicha categoría al interior de la Universidad, entre ellos, acceder al Fondo de Estímulo a Publicaciones Web of Science (WOS) y Scopus, recibiendo el 50% del incentivo otorgado según los requisitos indicados en la Política de Producción de Conocimiento UDP.
La Vicerrectoría de Investigación e Innovación de la UDP dispondrá de un fondo anual para apoyar la participación de académicos y académicas (con contrato jornada o docente de al menos 22 horas) en eventos académicos nacionales e internacionales —como seminarios, congresos o talleres—, así como para financiar visitas y/o estadías de investigación de académicos/as extranjeros/as que vengan a la UDP. También podrán postular académicos/as de la UDP que se desempeñen en campos clínicos, siempre que exista un convenio específico vinculado a actividades de I+D de la Universidad. Además, el fondo contempla una modalidad dirigida a estudiantes de Doctorado de la UDP, para apoyar su participación en eventos académicos nacionales e internacionales.
