Dr. Pulgar Moya is an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Philosophy at Diego Portales University. His work focuses primarily on Classical German philosophy, political philosophy and political economy. He is a research member of the Berliner Institut für kritische Theorie and of the CLACSO’s Working Group “Legacies and Perspectives of Marxism”. Before joining the IDF, he held research positions at the University of Padua (2021-2022), with the support of a Coimbra Scholarship, and at the P. Catholic University of Chile (2022-2023). He was a visiting professor at the National University of Costa Rica and at the University of Malaga, with a project on the concepts of space and time in Hegel’s philosophy of nature and philosophy of history. He was Visiting Scholar at the Universität Münster, the Université Paris 8, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and at the University of Sussex. He is member of the Ibero-American Society of Hegelian Studies and was President-Elected for two terms (from 2019 to 2022).

He earned his PhD at the University of Heidelberg. Dr. Pulgar Moya is currently developing a research project that deals with the concept of society in Marx and its critical legacy from the Hegel’s logical writings. He works with the relationship between metaphysics and criticism of metaphysics that emerges from Marx’s late writings.
